Laura Spence

Our very first Brand Ambassador is a fire cracker by the name of Laura Spence.

Laura is a horsewoman through and through and is always trying to learn and better her technique. Laura and her trusty stead Larry are up and comers on the rodeo circuit, lending their hand and hoof to Barrel Racing. Larry can be a handful at times but their bond is beautiful and I’m pretty sure he would live in the house with Laura if he fit.

Laura has travelled Australia seeing all the sights especially up around Townsville, though a Victorian gal at heart she has come back home. Laura can be found at a local Campdraft or Team Penning event, always trying to increase her knowledge and better her self when it comes to her four legged best friend.

Proud to have Laura and Larry on the Kick The Dust team!

Daniel Barrett

Daniel hails from the South West of New South Wales. Truck driver by trade for the last 7 years and a larrikin at heart, he has a heart of gold.

Daniel has moved around a bit in the last few years between NSW and Vic, he put a few years in Melbourne then up around Bendigo so he considers himself a bit of a hybrid country guy, can put on either hat and will always be the life of a party.

Hard worker at heart with a voice that gives these country folk a run for their money. Not much that he can’t accomplish when he puts his mind to it.

Loves to spend time with his mates for a beer or two and has recently purchased himself a Harley for a weekend cruise every now and again.

Daniel has been repping the Kick The Dust brand since the very start and I couldn’t think of a better legend to bring onto the Kick The Dust team!

Lachi Whitehouse

Lachi is a horseman through and through. He first came onto the scene at just 7 years old where he started to compete in Cutting. Cutting is a horse event where you have to keep a beast from the heard for 2.5 mins.

Coming from Southern Victoria, Lachi has put his hand at several different forms of horse events. For the last 4 seasons he has been travelling all over Victoria and Southern New South Wales  competing in Camdrafting. Lachi has been quite successful in the Drafting arena, having won an Encouragement and a Maiden but also placing many times across the Maiden, Novice and Open events. Last year he entered into a Cow Horse Event for the first time and is keen to pursue events like these in the future.

Lachi is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to his competitiveness and his loyalty to his friends. He’s been known to go on quite the adventures just to say G’Day to mates he hasn’t seen for a while. Also been known to go on a few pub trail rides every now and again, not getting lost on his way home at all.

Beyond honoured and proud to have this amazing guy on the Kick The Dust team!

Claire Baxter

Claire Baxter. What a woman to have on our Kick The Dust team!! Baxter is a born and bred drafter, daughter to the late Steve Baxter, Claire has his strong will yet cheeky sense of humour.

Pretty much born in the saddle, Claire has been competing in Campdrafting since the age of 8, skilled, yet humble Claire has won a few different Junior titles as well as a Ladies title for the SCA over the years.

Her cattle, sausage dog (Penny) and trusty stead John Henry are all staples in her life as well as her fiancé Dicko. Though John and Dicko don’t always see eye to eye as John seems to avoid catchment by all those except Claire.

You will often find Claire after a draft where ever the music is as she loves a drink (in each hand), and a dance or two with some of her mates. We have been known to climb on to a table or two – even the stage if the night is right.

I am beyond honoured to have Claire as apart of our team and look forward to seeing her out and about in a Kick The Dust shirt!!

Lukas Wilkinson

Lukas Wilkinson is our latest team member to join the Kick The Dust crew.

Hailing from Stanthorpe QLD. Lukas has been travelling the APRA as well as the ABCRA circuits competing in Bareback. Called the suicide event, bareback is one of the toughest sports on dirt, it takes guts, ability and a whole lot of determination to craft your skill in this sport.

Having travelled to Canada to see how they do things over there, has only made Lukas more determined to perfect his skill once he arrived home. He has qualified twice for APRA National Finals up to date and is looking forward to getting back to it once rodeos open up again!

Loving the country life, he has travelled throughout QLD on different stations though the heart strings of home got pulled. Lukas is currently in Warwick building sheds.

I’m excited to have Lukas on the Kick The Dust team and cant wait to see him compete in the future!!

Emma Bruce

What an absolute ripper of a woman I am about to introduce to you.

This gorgeous lady goes by the name of Emma Bruce or Brucey depending on who you talk to.

Em is a 3rd and final gal we are adding to our Brand Ambassadors and I couldn’t be any prouder or honoured to welcome her to the circus that we call the Kick The Dust Legends. Because that is exactly what they are. KTD wouldn’t be where it is today without the power houses of our Brand Ambassadors!

Well… Emma welcome to the KTD fam!!

Em has been an extremely successful business woman for the last 13 years owning her own salon in Rochester, talented with the scissors and dyes just as she is in the horse world.

Starting at a young age Em has always been around the horses from drafting through to the Stock Horse Association she has competed at them all and you will still see her around these days at the shows.

Em has a taste for fashion and loves to put the perfect outfit together, she is also always found in her local communities lending a hand to which ever projects or situations call for help.

Not one to shy away from the dance floor you will often find Em at a live band or with the tunes cranked having one hell of a time with her nearest and dearest!

Extremely excited to have Em on the team and I can’t wait to see her rocking her KTD gear around the place!!
